Vedic chanting
Sanskrit is the expression of the spiritual realm, a vibrational language that has the power to change thought-waves, as well as your surroundings.
Modern science has shown that everything is energy and that energy is vibration. With recitation in Sanskrit you can balance or raise the vibration of your surroundings through the use of mantras.
The recitation (and reading!) of Sanskrit is present everywhere in Bhakti Marga. Whether during an event, for pūjā, prayers or study.
The term Sanskrit means 'perfected' or 'accomplished', which indicates that it is a highly ordered language in terms of grammar, symmetry and arrangement. It is considered the ancient language of Sanātana-dharma (eternal law), the spiritual culture known today as Hinduism, and in that context it is regarded as the language of the gods and of divine origin. Because Sanskrit is a highly refined language, it is especially well suited to expressing spiritual contexts.
Today we see a growing interest in spirituality, in which seekers connect with the Sanskrit scriptures, such as the epic Mahābhārata, the Bhagavad Gītā or the Upaṇiṣads, and learn from them.
From an academic point of view, Sanskrit is one of the oldest languages in the world, and has undergone an evolution of its own. Alongside Greek and Latin, Sanskrit has had a great influence on the languages of the world.
