Bhakti practices

Our spirituality is both expressive and experiential. It follows the path of bhakti, masterfully built by our satguru, to experience a deep personal connection with the Divine through love and service.

The teachings of Paramahamsa Vishwananda have been divided into four limbs: knowledge, devotional arts, yoga and meditation, and rituals.

Although each limb has its own independent practices, all are designed to work together as a holistic system. It is not a matter of choosing a single limb and practising only that.

The chanting of the names of God is the most important practice, and it transcends them all.

Yoga and Meditation

Of all the tools that Paramahamsa Vishwananda has given us in this field, Atma Kriya Yoga is his most precious jewel. Atma Kriya Yoga is a complete yogic system intended to help you immerse yourself in your heart and connect with the Divine. It is a daily practice consisting of powerful techniques centred on recitation, breathing and meditation, designed to fit our modern lives. In short, by practising with sincerity and love, you will awaken your soul, experience the love of God and become your true self.

Knowledge

Wisdom is more than mere information: it is about discovering who you really are, who God is, and deepening your connection with Him. That is what makes studying the Bhagavad Gita so powerful. It is not just another book; it is a model of yogic philosophy for living a life of purpose, righteousness and love. Its profound teachings are best understood when they are explained by someone who knows them and lives them deeply. Paramahamsa Vishwananda has given us a simple and elegant commentary that we study every day.

Rituals

Our temples are the heart of the Bhakti Marga mission. Gathering to worship God through the recitation of the Divine Names, prayers, mantras and rituals is one of the many things that make the path of bhakti so tangible and practical. Paramahamsa Vishwananda encourages us to carry the spirit of the temple into our communities, homes and everyday lives. Through a traditional ritual of worship called puja, we can enjoy the sweetness of caring for the Divine as we would for any loved one. Bathing, dressing and feeding your Beloved in your own unique style allows you to express your love and to enjoy the intimacy of sacred time together.

Devotional arts

For as long as we can remember, the arts have captivated us, whether music, literature, dance or any other form of creative expression. The arts have a unique way of speaking to our hearts, connecting us with deeper emotions and experiences. But when we direct that energy towards the Divine, something extraordinary happens. We go beyond our thinking mind and enter our heart, immersing ourselves completely in the Love of God. It is not about talent or skill, but about the sincerity of your heart. Paramahamsa Vishwananda encourages everyone to embrace the devotional arts. The only requirement? A genuine longing for God.
