What is kirtan?

Kirtan is a form of devotional chanting that originated in ancient India. It typically involves call-and-response singing of divine names and mantras, creating a meditative and uplifting spiritual experience.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Note that there are limited available parking stalls on the property as per parking plan below. 32 Stalls are designated for New Indo Canadian Centre (NICC) use and an additional 30 stalls have been permitted by neighbouring businesses for use on weekday evenings and during weekends. Please park on green and yellow marked stalls only. Cars parked in any other unmarked stalls may be ticketed and/or towed. Additional curbside parking is available on 30th Avenue. 

What should I wear?

Comfortable, modest attire is recommended. Many attendees choose to wear traditional indian clothing, but casual western attire is perfectly acceptable.

What food options are available?

A selection of vegan and vegetarian options will be available on the day.
